The Massage in Schools Association (MISA) is an international organisation with branches in over 30 countries around the world. It provides support for trainers and instructors of the Massage in Schools Programme (MISP) and information to the public about this innovative approach to improving children’s health and wellbeing.
The programme is an easy, accessible and effective tool for improving children’s quality of life in school, in childcare settings, and at home. It enables children to interact in a different way and teachers have another approach to help school subjects ‘come alive’ in a way that respects the nature of children. The programme has been designed to promote the wellbeing of children in the knowledge that nurturing touch is a basic need and a powerful tool to help children develop into healthy, well-balanced human beings. Find out about the programme, how you can get it in your school or area, and how to train to become an instructor and join the world-wide MISA network!
